CBS Renews Hit Dramas, Expands Franchise Universe
CBS is reinforcing its drama lineup with renewals for Tracker, Elsbeth, Fire Country, and all three NCIS series. The network also greenlit full seasons of Matlock and announced new spinoffs: Sheriff Country, a Fire Country offshoot starring Morena Baccarin, and Boston Blue, a Blue Bloods spinoff with Donnie Wahlberg. While FBI is secured through 2027, spinoffs like FBI: Most Wanted and The Equalizer await news. CBS reported impressive viewership, led by Tracker (18M viewers) and Elsbeth (11M). “These renewals highlight CBS’s leadership,” said network president Amy Reisenbach, as CBS continues to dominate primetime drama.
