Russia Warns US Of ‘Catastrophic’ Consequences If Trump Approves Strike On Iran

Tensions Rise as Trump Signals Willingness to Strike Iran, Russia Issues Stark Warning

Following recent missile exchanges between Iran and Israel, former President Donald Trump reportedly told national security advisers that he would approve a military strike on Iran if a plan is presented to him. While Trump claims he prefers to make last-minute decisions, he emphasized that “all options remain on the table.”

On June 17, the appearance of the US Air Force’s “Doomsday Jet” raised fears of an impending escalation. Trump has been vocal about his frustration, stating: “Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. I’ve had it.”

Russia, a key ally of Iran, strongly condemned the possibility of US involvement. Russian officials warned that interference could lead to a “nuclear catastrophe” and “radically destabilize” the region. Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said Moscow has urged the US to stay out of the conflict.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei added that US interference would be “costly,” stating the Iranian people “will not surrender.”

Despite the heated rhetoric, Russian President Vladimir Putin clarified that Moscow is not seeking direct involvement but is urging diplomatic solutions.
